EXPO 2024: breakthrough in the Russian exhibition industry
May 28-31, 2024, the Crocus Expo IEC successfully hosted a unique synergy of four industry trade fairs organised by Sigma Expo Group. The largest industry event in Russia was presented by: CTT Expo - Leading Trade Fair for Construction Equipment and Technologies, COMvex - Leading Trade Fair for Commercial Vehicles and Technologies, CTO Expo - International Trade Fair for Spare Parts, Automotive Aftersales Market and Service as well as the premiere of the year Logistika Expo - International Trade Fair for Logistics, Transport, Warehousing Technologies and Equipment.
The synergy of trade fairs, which this year took place under the EXPO brand, attracted a record number of visitors – 78,698 specialists, which is 20% more than the last year.
For the first time in history, the trade fair event occupied all three pavilions and all possible outdoor area of the Crocus Expo. The total area of four projects amounted to 200,800 m2. The increase is 80% compared to last year. The trade fairs have reached a qualitatively new level and have become a milestone event of the year, providing the largest business platform for interaction between representatives of related industries.
The main distinctive features of trade fairs:
CTT Expo – more than 3,000 units of the presented equipment. The maximum concentration of equipment, transport and mechanized machinery per square meter in the entire history of the project.
COMvex – more than 50 premieres and new vivid items in the field of commercial transport. The deserved status of the largest commercial transport exhibition in Russia.
CTO Expo - the most eventful business program from leading experts and professional associations. Full range of spare parts and components for after-sales service of all types of transport: passenger, freight and construction.
Logistika Expo - successful start of the exhibition, which united the high level of leading companies in the field of warehouse and transport logistics, e-comm and supply chain management within the framework of the trade fair and business program.
Exhibitors
1,746 companies from 13 countries took part in the EXPO synergy. Special attention was drawn to the large-scale expositions of the national pavilions of China and Turkey. For the first time in the event’s history, the number of foreign participants reached 978 companies, which underlines the high interest of the international community in the Russian market of the industries presented at EXPO.

Visitors
The event attracted 78,698 specialists. The exhibitors noted the high-quality level of the audience, it’s activity and interest, which contributed to the formation of numerous business contacts, discussion of aspects for cooperation and signed contracts.
The trade fairs were marked by a wide geography of visitors. The EXPO was attended by representatives of the professional community from 87 regions of Russia. Traditionally, Moscow and it’s region, St. Petersburg and it’s region, the Republic of Tatarstan, Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Kaluga, Yaroslavl, Samara, Ivanovo, Tver and Rostov have become the most numerous visitors’ regions. The top countries by visitors: China, Belarus, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Kyrgyzstan, India and others.
Business program
Highly topical business program was presented at 9 conference venues as part of the EXPO. The formats ranged from conferences and professional awards to narrow round-table discussions and master classes.
More than 200 speakers took part in the business program. The presentations were accompanied by Q&A sessions and lively discussions of real cases. The session was organised by leading professional associations and Unions.
“The Best Commercial Vehicle of the Year in Russia” Contest
The first day of EXPO finished on May 28 with the award ceremony of the contest "The Best Commercial Vehicle of the Year in Russia 2024". Traditional awards were presented in six categories: "Truck of the Year", "Van/ Light Commercial Vehicle of the Year", "Bus/Electric Bus of the Year", "Special Prize", "Prospect of the Year", "Trailer/Semi-trailer of the year".
In addition to the jury’s voice, industry specialists were able to make their own choice by online voting. This year, more than 3,500 people took part in it, which was a three-fold increase compared to 2023.
"Construction Equipment Innovations in Russia 2024" Contest
The award ceremony for the winners of the annual contest "Construction Equipment Innovations in Russia 2024" took place at the end of the second day of the trade fair –May 29.
This year, 11 nominations and more than 70 applications were submitted from manufacturers and suppliers of equipment and components. A professional jury consisting of 17 industry experts has identified the most worthy representatives.
More than 4,500 industry specialists took part in the online voting.
StaplerCup
May 30, within the framework of Logistika Expo, the Moscow stage of the international competitions among drivers of loading equipment StaplerCup took place. This event annually identifies professional carriers who have proven themselves in the speed and accuracy of equipment control.
StaplerCup was fascinating and spectacular, leaving none of the audience indifferent. The participants were appreciated by a professional jury.
